Eleven of our members climbed over the mountain (drove over the Malahat) to take part in the 2008 Karate BC Championship Eliminations for Zone 6. This is the third year that qualifying for the Spring Karate BC Championships has been mandatory and the Island (Zone 6) once again put some real talent on display.

An impressive twenty-one medals were won by our members, including nine gold, eight silver, and four bronze. Every member returned with a medal in at least one event and some members won multiple medals. It's worth noting that Jean received an impressive score of 18.9 for his kata performance.
