Once again, the Victoria Renshikan Karate members have shown that they have what it takes to be at the top. On April 18, 2004, six of our members participated in the Karate BC 2004 Springs Championships and brought home seven medals from nine events.

Danny had an exceptional tournament, bringing home three medals; gold in kumite, gold in weapons kata, and silver in individual kata. Danny was in the "advanced/black belt" division, competing (and wining) against brown and black belt opponents.

Paul had an excellent tournament also, bringing home two medals; a silver in kumite and a bronze in individual kata. Like Danny, Paul was competing in the "advanced/black belt" division with some very strong brown and black belt competition.

Carah was delighted at winning her first gold medal in competition and Nico brought home bronze in his individual kata.

Andrew and Jeffrey both put on a good performance, but were denied medals (this time around).

Over 200 competitors from across BC participated in this annual Provincial event held at Douglas College in North Vancouver.
